# Tambourine identity

**Year:** 2020–2021
**Role:** Identity design, in collaboration with [Juan Carlos Pagan](https://carlospagan.com)
**Client:** Tambourine (private philanthropic organization)
**Tags:** brand
**Case study:** /work/tambourine

Tambourine funds emotional well-being, vision, ALS, disability access, and community giving. The mark is the instrument seen head-on — jingles seated in a hand-drawn ring, which reads equally as people standing in a circle.

## Animation

The jingles scatter and reseat on a single hit, then the wordmark drops in. The same animation drives the project card.

## Colors

Orange `#FF5B00` and navy `#002E62` carry the brand; yellow `#FBE44D`, cyan `#73FBF8`, and white are the partners. Every pairing is a two-color cut of the same symbol — no gradients, no tints.

## Typeface

Quicksand (Andrew Paglinawan, Google Fonts) for body copy — a geometric sans whose rounded terminals echo the mark. Five weights, 300–700. The wordmark is custom and is never used for body copy.

## Website

A single page: the symbol, a sentence about what the foundation funds, and a way to reach them.

## Alternate directions

Explored but not used — the letter *T* built as the instrument, a heavy slab *T*, and a loose organic disc shedding its jingles.
