Dr. Dre has only released two solo albums, but both remain among hip hop's most influential pieces. His third and final solo album, Detox, has been in the works for a full decade.

This is my hypothetical stab at an album cover that celebrates the artist's Los Angeles roots, looking over a city rendered in toxic haze. To flex a tone power, the type draws from the blackletter tradition of L.A. gang tattoos and the engraved lettering of American currency and bank certificates. The area containing the word "Detox" has been designed to have the "Detox" swapped out for the titles of subsequent singles.
