Melrose Dog Society
Branding for community organization
Dog owners in the Boston suburb of Melrose formed this organization to promote responsible dog ownership and to improve conditions for the estimated 5,000 canine comrades in the city of Melrose.
They were looking for a fun formality that also spoke to the city's Victorian tradition. The "G" has been given a subtle wagging ornament. The logo was developed with two secondary marks for use in reduced scaling and dimensionally flattened presentations. Branded safety reflectors and collar tags coming soon (seriously).
Designed under the art direction of Aaron Belyea at Alphabet Arm Design.
